CHANGE ALERT: The earlier posted route with the Lougheed highway wasn't really a good idea. On the preride, there was too much traffic, the road was rough, and the Agassiz bridge was far too busy. Several experienced riders told me that they had ridden that stretch enough this year. So I am reverting to the traditional route.
The Fall Flatlander has many special roles. It has a nice welcoming name and route that encourages first-timers. Because it comes at the end of summer, most riders are near peak condition, so the folks who want to go fast can go very fast. It tends to be a fairly social event, with the Birchwood Dairy ice cream stop.
EDIT, September 18: The route map now shown is the final route. There were some small changes from September 15. There was no preride. You can expect a staffed control at 60 km at the Barrowtown boat launch, near the pump station. The cue sheet and gpx track are published. Control cards will be handed out at the start.
Organiser will be riding, so please be on time.
REGISTRATION ENDS AT 5:00 PM FRIDAY, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE DATABASE SAYS AT THE MOMENT.
